***Performance on 10/16/09 is Cancelled***
Please be advised that due to the weather, the rehearsal
for this evening has been canceled.With the amount of rain coming in
tonight and throughout Friday, the High School Football Field is going
to be in very poor shape. Because of this, we will not be able to
perform our show on Friday, and there will not be a rain date for this
event. Fortunately, our Halloween Parade will only be a few days later,
and we will be able to perform then.
There will be a rain date for all 8th and 9th grade band and colorguard
students to perform in the stands with the High School Marching Band on
October 30th. The performance information for Oct. 30th is as follows;
Report to Central Band Room-5:45pm
Meet up with Senior High Marching Band and enter stands-6:15 pm
Pick-up at at Central-approx 9:30pm
The football games usually run over 2 hours, so parents should plan on
picking up their children from the Central Junior High Band Room at
approximately 9:30 pm. There is no formal uniform for this performance,
however students must dress accordingly as mid-October can get to be
quite brisk. An extra sweatshirt, coat, hat, and gloves are recommended
to bring along in case it is cold. Students should also bring along
some money for concessions at the game as well as all of the stand
music.
Thanks again and we will see you next Tuesday for rehearsal (at SOUTHERN JR. HIGH from 6:15-7:45).
